Literacy Lessons

Literacy Lessons is a professional development initiative built on the robust “literacy processing theory” and research based protocols of Reading Recovery (clay, 2005).  Literacy Lessons extends the benefits of adapting instruction to the learning needs of individual children to a wider population of students and the framework of a high quality professional development to greater range of teachers.

Literacy Lessons professional development courses are taught by experienced, qualified, and currently registered Reading Recovery teachers leaders under the guidance of a practicing Reading Recovery university trainer.  Professional development courses are available to teachers who serve English language learners, special education and other teachers in systems and schools implementing Reading Recovery.
